Apostle Paul (Get to Know Series)

I was excited to see a 2nd-3rd grade reading level biography about the Apostle Paul. Nancy L. Sanders did a great job writing an informative yet accessible story of the life of Paul. Get to Know Apostle Paul includes information that was new to me, even as an adult. It isn’t condescendingly simple, but the narrative style is great for a mature elementary school aged child or older.

The book has several great resources that make it a powerful tool in any educational setting. There are several stand-out boxes that highlight Bible heroes, eyewitness accounts, fun facts and word-bank words. The word-bank words are included in a glossary at the end of the book. There is a timeline of Paul’s life, a selected bibliography, source notes and student resources. These make great stepping-off points for family or educator to capitalize on the natural interest that the book will arouse. I am anxious to see more of Ms. Sanders work!

*I was provided with a complementary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
